Engelli \u00f6\u011frencilerin mevcut durumundan kaynaklanan\u00a0 \u201columsuz etkilerin ve sorunlar\u0131n\u0131n azalmas\u0131 i\u00e7in di\u011fer bireyler gibi e\u011fitim \u00f6\u011fretim s\u00fcreci i\u00e7erisinde yer alarak bireysel yeteneklerinin geli\u015ftirilmesi ve bilgi d\u00fczeylerinin art\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 gereklidir\u201d (Sevin\u00e7, \u0130., ve \u00c7ay M. (2017). \u201cFiziksel Engelli Bireylerin \u00dcniversite E\u011fitimi S\u0131ras\u0131nda Kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131 Sorunlar (Akdeniz \u00dcniversitesi \u00d6rne\u011fi)\u201d, <i>Sel\u00e7uk \u00dcniversitesi Sosyal ve Teknik Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar Dergisi,<\/i> Say\u0131: 13, 2017, ss. 219-238.). Zira as\u0131l \u00f6nemli olan engelli \u00f6\u011frencilerin \u00fcniversiteyi kazand\u0131ktan sonra \u00f6\u011frenim hayatlar\u0131n\u0131 kolayla\u015ft\u0131racak gerekli fiziksel ve akademik ortam\u0131n kendileri i\u00e7in makul uyarlanmas\u0131d\u0131r. Her vatanda\u015f\u0131n kendi kabiliyet ve yeterlili\u011fine uygun istedi\u011fi e\u011fitim kurumunda \u00f6\u011frenim g\u00f6rmesi T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti Anayasas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n 10. maddesinde e\u015fitlik ilkesiyle g\u00fcvence alt\u0131na al\u0131nm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Y\u00fcksek \u00d6\u011fretim Kurumu\u2019nun 2020 y\u0131l\u0131 sonunda payla\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 verilere g\u00f6re Y\u00fcksek\u00f6\u011fretimde e\u011fitim g\u00f6ren 51.647 engelli \u00f6\u011frencinin 8.735 ki\u015fisi g\u00f6rme engelli bireylerden olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. T\u00fcm engelli \u00f6\u011frencilerin %1 i uzaktan e\u011fitim, %3\u2019 \u00fc ikinci \u00f6\u011fretim ve %7\u2019si \u00f6rg\u00fcn e\u011fitim ve %89\u2019u da A\u00e7\u0131k\u00f6\u011fretimde \u00f6\u011frenim g\u00f6rmektedir. Seslendirilen kitaplar\u0131n \u00f6nemli bir k\u0131sm\u0131 edebi kitaplard\u0131r. Akademik kitaplar\u0131n seslendirilmesi yap\u0131lmamaktad\u0131r. Seslendirilen edebi kitaplara internet \u00fczerinden eri\u015fim sa\u011flanabilmektedir. Ancak bu platformlar\u0131n bir \u00e7o\u011fu \u00fccretli \u00fcyelik ile hizmet vermektedir. \u00dcniversiteler taraf\u0131ndan haz\u0131rlanan platformlar ise genellikle kendi \u00f6\u011frencilerine hizmet vermektedir. \u0130laveten, ders notlar\u0131 ve dersin hocas\u0131n\u0131n kullanaca\u011f\u0131 kaynaklar de\u011fi\u015fkenlik g\u00f6sterecektir. Bu durumun bilincinde olan g\u00f6rme engelli bireylerin \u00e7o\u011fu \u00fcniversite e\u011fitimi konusunda \u00e7ekimser kalmakta, kaynaklara eri\u015fim noktas\u0131nda kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131 bu engel onlar\u0131 s\u0131n\u0131rland\u0131rmaktad\u0131r.
